Hello All,

Just wanted to quickly introduce myself to the community. I've been certified for about 14 years now, but haven't done any diving in about 4 years. So after this break from diving, it's time to get back into it. My current g/f is getting certified later this month, so after that it's time to get back into the water.

Later,
Rob

Welcoma aboard, Rob. You will enjoy this site.

Many of us here...

I returned to diving six months ago after having been away.......awhile.

Sevewral of us dive Monterey, but a few dive folsom Lake and other locations.

Welcome!

Sean

Howdy Neighbor, welcome aboard!

Thanks for the warm welcome. :)

I'm up at the northern end of the Sacramento Valley in Redding.

I just joined the forum myself.

I live in SF. I got my certification (SSI, yeah i know chuckle all you want) in Monterey Bay.

I have to tell you...I DESPISE COLD WATER DIVING!!
Not to mention the 12" visibility on some days. You have to go deep to get any visibility but then you sacrifice what little heat the water has absorbed at the top. (damn plankton!!)

I have a question, I've been diving with a 7mm suit...will upgrading (and depleting the bank account) to a dry suit offer me that much more warmth and comfort to justify the cost and decrease my loathing of cold water?

Thanks!

Welcome Rob, from a fellow no cal boy. My GF is currently getting certed as well, I hope Monterey doesnt freak her out!
Ever dive up at Whiskeytown Lake? I heard there is a submerged city or town underwater when they built the dam-sounds kinda cool!
Be safe and maybe we can hook up for a dive some day?
Drew
