Location
Venice, Florida
I recently got my diving certification (open water on may 14th) and was wondering if there were anyone in my area who dives on a regular basis. I am located in Venice, Florida just south of Sarasota, and have mostly been doing beach dives for the time being. Anyone who knows of any groups, or who may be available please contact me.

:hi: And welcome to Scuba Board. It's a fun place to learn, compare, argue. :thumb:

Keep coming back, and bring friends. If you see any fights :boxing: just enjoy the show...

Venice? Never heard of it.:D

I was diving there every weekend this summer, and am only slowing up now because of Vis problems. Any time you want to dive, give me a holler, I live in Punta Gorda.

There's several avid divers on this board from the area: Wild Bill, Walter, Cbulla, Kbulla, and me, off the top of my head. All of us frequently dive Venice beach.

Hi divingvenice
Welcome to the board and congrats on getting certified. You reside in an awesome location for diving in Florida-a few hours driving grants lots of diving options from the keys to the springs. Over here on the east coast we do a lot of beach diving also. Check out the Florida Conch section, somebody is always setting up a dive someplace.

Welcome to the board. Check with your LDS to see what dive clubs are in your area. This is a very good way to learn and meet other divers.

Hello! I'm from Largo over by Tampa. Did you ever find any interesting dive clubs? I dive through Macs in Clearwater and they are all really nice.

to the boards divingvenice.

your in the best spot to have dive buddies come to you. We can also use you for weather and viz reports seeing that you live right there.

I posted a reply to your other post about the alhambra site.
