Hello out there,

I am a newbie PADI AOW diver with around 30 dives under belt. Most of those dives were done in Thailand, although I was certified here locally. After dealing with so much crappy rental gear, I just bought myself a full set. Unfortunately my buddies have no interest in the local dive sites here in L.A. and Ventura counties. The only diving I've done in California has been Catalina, but I'm getting really tired of paying all that dough on boats.

Well, that's my story.

Thanks for reading.

Check out Hollywood Divers. Karim and the team can give you some good buddies/mentors and include you in some kickass dives.

You will find alot of regular divers here...hope to see you in the water someday soon.:D

Welcome to SB. I enjoyed diving Thailand a decade ago, but did find some really bad rental gear (mostly on Koh Tao at Planet SCUBA).

Welcome to Scubaboard Mongo,

You are invited to join us on June 2nd at Casino Point for a Ditch Work and Dive Day just before the Scuba Show. Great way to meet many local area (and a few not so local) Scubaboarders and hook up with new dive buddies.

Here is the info.

If you can't make it, at least come to Scuba Show in Long Beach that weekend and stop by the Scubaboard booth to say hi.

Look up the dive group, www.divevets.com , there's a very active group of divers that frequent Veterans Park (Vets) at Redondo Beach, and various sites on Palos Verdes. PM me sometime, I'd be willing to dive with you sometime.
