Hi, new to the lifestyle that's apparently inherent with diving, though I'm glad to be here.
I'm currently deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and discovered the world of SCUBA diving here after having a chat with my friend about the various training opportunities while I'm here. So, I go to through the PADI Open Water cert, fell in love with breathing underwater and since I don't have gills, I'll be doing this for the rest of my life.
The community out here encompasses some of the most interesting and friendly people I've ever met, the instructors are amazing and everyone wants everyone else to love diving as much as they do, tracking? good.
I'm still working my way to the Divemaster program and hopefully through the Assistant Instructor course while I'm here. Eventually, I'd like to be diving on wrecks 250 feet below researching and documenting. After my first dive to 100 feet, I just want to go deeper for longer and see what's down there.
Sorry, I'm rambling. Glad to be here.
