We live 23 kms. west of Vienna. I'm glad you loved Austria. You have been to nice places, esp. for skiing. So when are you coming back to dive in our lakes? Oh yes, we decided to try to dive in Neufelder See this weekend and maybe do the AOW-cold and not so good visibility, 7mm. wetsuit in contrast to our dives till now--3mm. shorty in 26-28°C--definitely a new experience for us !

Hooray, we made it ! My husband and I just got AOW certified yesterday in an Austrian lake. It was a challenge--cold (10°C in 20m.)& bad visibility. First time to wear a 7mm.hooded wetsuit plus jacket and gloves! I don't think I'll be diving the Austrian lakes often. I prefer warm water with very good vis.and comfortable 3mm.shortie! Next trip is planned: Marsa Alam in 2 weeks and French Polynesia in Nov. Can't wait!

i did the southern tour (which started in marsa alam) a few years ago and it was a blast!. great diving throughout. enjoy your trip.
