Hello everybody!
I'm new to this board. My husband and I got OW certified in Maldives last Dec. and have 26 dives since then. We'll be going to Marsa Alam next month and plan to do the AOW. I hope to see some hammerheads and dugongs. Has anybody seen dugong there in Sept?

I'm looking forward to reading and sharing diving experiences with you all!

Welcome to the board. I have not done much diving outside my home waters. Wife just asked me if we were going on a trip this year and that if I wanted to go diving it would be fine with her to just chill and read. What does she me "if", of course I want to go diving! Warm water, hmmm now where to go that is the question, oh, and do it on no money too. Ah realities of life. I am certain I will think of something.

Have fun on your trip.

thanks for the warm welcome.

Melvin, we have to go outside Austria since we both prefer warm water. The lakes here are cold... we don't have ocean either! You are lucky to be near warm water. Isn't your wife interested to learn diving?

welcome aboard

ja aber grünnersee ist sehr schön :D (yeah, but grünnerlake is very beautiful)

me and my club went to it, and some other lakes in austria, and all were very nice experiences - even without a drysuit.

if you ever wander off to maribor, slovenia, especially on thursday, you're welcome in our clubroom for a drink and chat ;)

Glad to hear you had nice diving ,Saso. I just checked Grünersee and it's not possible to dive there anymore--just in Spring when the snow melts. When did you dive there? Checked Gossau See too and water temp.is 4-6° C. Brrrrr! not for me, have to look for a warmer lake.

Welcome, nemo2! :wavey:

What part of Austria are you from? I was there in 1989 and I absolutely LOVED it! We stayed in a ski village called Kirchdorf and visited Salzburg, Innsbruck and St. Anton.
