Hi everyone, I'm Tony.
I stumbled onto this site yesterday when I Googled for any news about a friend of mine that went missing Saturday while diving on the USS Mohawk. Things are looking bleak but all of his friends are obviously hoping for a miracle.
I finished my Open Water cert in November and have yet to go diving or buy any gear for that matter. This incident has made me acutely aware that I am going to need a refresher before my first dive. I'm looking forward to poking around here for advice on gear (the amount of choices is really intimidating for me), advice on safety and advice on local dives to build up some experience.
