I had one follow me in a kayak around the backside of the west end of Catalina Island back in the mid-70's. Last year a woman in about the same area had her kayak upended by one and she landed (briefly) on top of it.

I guess as long as you don't land briefly inside it you're good.:D

What a bunch of wussies. They had a kayak full of rods and reels. That could have been a new light tackle record. Time to tear up their Man Cards.
