On June 9th, 2009 I took my wife on a surprise 25th wedding anniversary trip to Playa del Carmen in Mexico. The trip was absolutely spectacular with regards to the accommodations that we enjoyed at the Royal Resort and the first rate experience we had at GEO FISH Dive shop. The first day in Playa we went looking for Geo Fish to set up dives for the following day. I had researched the dive shops in Playa and read the blogs for many of the different shops there and had narrowed the selection down to three possible shops that I wanted to check out prior to booking our dives for the week. After checking out the other shops that rated a visit I stopped in at Geo Fish and interviewed them to make my final decision on whom I felt would give us the best service. After a very short interview it was clear to my wife and I that the staff at Geo Fish were very knowledgeable and extremely competent in scuba diving safety and practices. My wife is slightly apprehensive about diving but very capable and I am very experienced diver, I was very pleased with the attention that was shown to my wife to insure that she had a good diving experience. After her first dive she was so at ease due to the nature of the attention given to her and the no hurry, no worry atmosphere that the Geo Fish staff portrayed during the dive, that she was ready to do her next dive without hesitation. We were the first two divers to utilize the new Geo Fish dive boat and I must say the new boat was very nice and in my opinion the best size dive boat for diving, not too big, not too small, just right!!! Another point worthy of mentioning is that as stated earlier my wife and I were the only two divers on that were diving that day (due to the Swine Flu scare) and I was the only diver they had for the next three dive days but that didnÃÕ matter to them, they were willing to take me everyday without any hesitation. This shows the commitment that the Geo Fish Staff has to customer satisfaction, they could have easily told me that they couldnÃÕ afford to take only one diver out each day, and I would have understood if they had, but they were waiting for me everyday and ready to go as soon as I got to the shop. They took all of the gear to the boat and after each dive would change the tank for the next dive, assist getting out after each dive, and after all the dives were over carry all the gear back to shop, thoroughly wash the gear and hang it up to dry, I have scuba dived over most of the world and have never been more impressed by these young mens service to their customers. All the dives were well planned, with abundant sea-life and many extraordinary creatures on every dive, huge logger head turtles, large schools of tarpon , permit, and jacks, southern rays and one OMG huge moray eel! My children are also divers but were not along on this trip. but we will be returning next year and I can tell you where IÃÍl be spending my time and money. It will be at Geo Fish with Morgan, Max and Steve. If youÃÓe not diving with Geo Fish youÃÓe missing a great pleasurable dive experience.
