On page 19 in the latest issue of Scuba Diving there is an article about the legislation for the Great Lakes State Park. I am going to fire off a letter to the editor explaing how Great Lakes divers feel about the plan. You should too.

Tell them how "You" feel and let the other divers contact them accordingly.

How do I feel? Why don't you tell me? This topic appears to be way more "polarized" than makes sense to me. What exactly are the pros and cons - minus all the assumptions made by the "cons" side.

I understand Mr. MacMaster's passion on the one side. He's put a lot of work into this. I don't understand all of the negative passion on the other side. And why are there so many "new" board members posting on this topic? Something smells of an "agenda" to me.

Something tells me this isn't the first time some of these posters have had it out over this one.

Here's a link which has been the bench mark for what I was hoping to see happen in Michigan...Not in the preserves, but in the open waters of the Great Lakes. But to do this, some assistance is necesary via the state and a modification in the laws need to be done...
