Welcome! Like you said, this is a great source for wisdom. What level certification are you? I see you are a marine scientist so you are probably a diver as well. I'm going to be a marine biologist one day, going to school for it next fall. :) Anyway, have fun and don't hesitate to ask questions here. Welcome again!
 
Welcome, yes this is a great forum lots to be learnt, although it is highly addictive !!!!!
Well I'm lucky enough to still be In the West Coast , and have lots of places to explore yet !:)

South Devon - The East coast is not all that bad (so flat you can watch your dog run away for 3 days!) just always worries me when you have to walk UP to the sea - give me the cliffs and blue diving waters of Devon/Cornwall and Pembrokeshire.

NatureDiver - To answer your question BSAC Dive Leader (has some PADI equivalent I am sure), but haven't had the chance to get wet recently.
