"ScubaCore Issue 2".... a travelog style DVD for divers reviewing different dive destinations. Yes, it has been done before a few years back but these are much better done in my opinion.
Last week I found the "ScubaCore" videos. Wow! I am very pleased with the first one I ordered on Amazon. It arrived yesterday, we watched only a portion of it and loved it. We got Volume 2, which covers two places we were discussing visiting this year - Bonaire and Bahamas Cay Sal on the Nekton. So for $23 plus shipping we got 20 minutes of footage of each place in addition to footage of Truk and Wakatobi, and interviews, etc. Total run time is 2 hours on the DVD.
Yes, it is a travelog format, not a "movie" but it is just what I was looking for!
Working at a dive shop, I am asked questions daily about dive destinations - most of which I have never been to. I need to have some knowledge of the places people are planning to visit or new divers who ask questions like "where should we go for our first dive trip?" or "why should I do a liveaboard". Rather than pointing at a bookrack and telling them to buy something, I can show them information regarding some destinations to give them an idea of what is available, why they should or shouldn't go to a dive destination for some reason, or just to sell a trip the LDS is planning.
If you have already been everywhere these are a waste of time - but for me, they are awesome!
