Bermuda is on my bucket list.

Would you keep us apprised as to how this went?

Thanks, and good luck!
Absolutely! I will be back home on 8/13 and will get a review up for you shortly thereafter.....

I'm not a fan of resort courses (RC) because you can't possibly learn what you need to be an entry level diver in a day, especially for children. I view RC like discover scuba...the target market are those people who want to see what it's like to breathe underwater, not the person who has a serious interest in the sport. IMO, it's better to find instruction at your local dive shop.

I’ve dived with Dive Bermuda as well, and they were really good to dive with both times. We were there this past March and they really helped my new diver wife become more comfortable in her diving. They now have a location at Somerset Bridge, not too long of a bus ride from the Dockyard. Here’s a link to courses offered at that location Go Diving — Dive Bermuda at Somerset. This is the old Blue Water Divers location, who are now at the Dockyard Blue Water Divers. I have never been diving with them, so can’t say much about them.
I have never been diving with the Dive Bermuda crew at Somerset, just Grotto Bay, but can’t imagine that they’re not as good there.
Have a great time in BDA!

Erik
Thanks for the tip on Dive Bermuda. Question: both this one and ecodive (another shop on the island) don't offer drop off/pick up. So did you just take a taxi with your gear to the dive site? Isn't that a bit annoying? Just wondering. Thanks.

I did that the first time I went diving with Dive Bermuda. It was a pain because they were only at Grotto Bay at the time, and we were staying in Sommerset. Last year we were able to drop off our gear at Grotto Bay on our way to the rental, then take a cab there on dive day (we made the mistake of staying in Sommerset, again. Only a mistake because they hadn’t opened the Sommerset shop yet. I really like staying in Sommerset).

I just discovered Ecodive, and was wondering if they had pickup since they do shore dives (Dive Bermuda only does boat dives). Now I know. Depending on where you’ll be staying, and where they plan on diving, you might be able to bus it.

Let me know how things go,

Erik
