South Swells this weekend? Bah! Come count fishies at Malaga Cove!
All divers are cordially invited to participate in The Great Annual Fish Count! This is a free event where you learn REEF survey techniques and help collect data on our local fish populations.
There are two local events happening this weekend:

Sign-ups and waivers will start at 8am. Divers need to sign a waiver and leave their c-card so we can check divers in and out and collect their survey data. There will be a dive briefing, fish ID refresher and survey instruction at 8:30am. The dive begins at 9am. We will have 5 DM's available to help in the surf zone at RAT beach and along to rocks toward Haggarty's. We will assign buddy teams if necessary.
After the dive we will assist with filling out the data forms. We will have a BBQ grill on site if any participants want to grill food afterwards (i.e., purchased food it wouldn't be cool to grill fresh halibut during the Great Annual Fish Count!).
