Question Grand Turk International Flights

Grand Turk Airport has had an expansion which includes booths for customs. It appears that they are preparing for international flights.
Does anybody have a scoop on the timing and whether there will be any direct flights from US. It would be amazing to bypass Provo airport .

Right now the only direct flights shown to Grand Turk are from Provo, South Caicos, and Salt Cay. There is a hint in the listing that things may change in December.
