I am a law professor and also an avid diver. I will be teaching a study abroad course in Grand Cayman Jan 2-6, 2020. It is taught through Stetson Law School's study abroad office but lawyers and non-lawyers can enroll. If any lawyers enroll I will get the course approved for CLE credits in their home jurisdiction.
The course is Caribbean Environmental Law, Land Use, and Development. The course will introduce you to relevant Caribbean and Cayman Islands laws. We will be focusing on the impact of a cruise ship terminal proposed for Grand Cayman’s harbor. Extra-curricular activities are in the works including a scuba trip to reefs and wrecks impacted by the proposed cruise ship terminal.
For more info and to apply visit this website Cayman Islands Fall Intersession Program - APPLICATION DEADLINE IS 10/1/19
