Delta has a sale and we were able to book October 1st/8th for $368RT non stop! And when you book it with a Delta Skymiles Amex you get your first bag free. So our third bag will be $27 dollars. Not bad.

We have stayed at Reef Resort, London House and Comfort Suites. Anybody have a different suggestion? We liked London House the best.

We will be diving with Dusty at DNS Diving for sure, and will also night dive here and there.

Anybody else going that week?

We stayed at Turtle Nest Inn a few years ago and we loved it! We will be staying there again later this year. Bodden Town is a quiet little area away from the 7-mile beach, but that's the way we like it!

It is a small inn with nice, clean apartments with full kitchens, so we can do a little cooking and avoid some of the high restaurant prices. The price of a week's lodging includes a rental car. You can snorkel out front, it's very shallow but we've seen some great stuff there, including the largest jawfish I've ever seen! It can't get her quickly enough! I am looking forward to a week at TNI followed by a week on Cayman Brac at the BRBR this year!

Kathy have you ever considered staying at the condos right next door? The Jawfish is still there ,we saw it with eggs in November also have you seen the school of Tarpon which reside behind the condos?

If you dive with Dusty (Dive N Stuff) he will pick up and drop off at the Inn.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the info on Turtle Nest. Lisa at DNS recommend it as well. I had my bride take a look at it. And although she thinks it is REALLY nice, she is hooked on SMB up near West Bay. Has anyone stayed at Sunshine Suites? We do not need to be right on the beach, and the restaurant there is awesome!

Thanks for the responses!

We've stayed there. It's okay. There is a public beach access path right across the street. As I recall it goes right by a couple of aromatic dumpsters, but not all bad. Sunshine is also very close to Eats Café and Yoshi (sp?) Sushi.

I've never stayed there but the restuarant was very good for lunch.

We ate lunch there as well, and it was fantastic, and reasonable. the Big A$$ Fan was a hit with the kids that were in there, and it provided a nice breeze.

I don't see much difference between Sunshine Suites and Comfort Suites. Sunshine has a cook top, which would make cooking eggs easier than in a microwave.

It's interesting that the Admiral only has one request, a room with a balcony. It makes it nice to be able to relax outside. For me the hammock hut at London House is an awesome feature. I napped out there in the shade, breeze, and with the ocean noises every afternoon.

Update:

The Admiral got a promotion! She works for WeightWatchers and was promoted from a leader to a territory manager. I am very proud of her. Unfortunately the National meeting is the week of October 1st!

So now we are heading down September 17th for a week. We decide on on a place at Cayman Reef Resort on SMB. Nice 1 bedroom with a deck off the living room, and $1,200 for the week.

Of course we will be diving with our friend Dusty, and maybe a night dive or two with buddy Nat at Indepth.

WOOT!

Best source I know of for relatively inexpensive rentals is ecaytrade.com. Any other ideas?
