I'm a Fish!
I'm kinda spoiled by shore diving in Bonaire. And while I'm certainly not against boat diving, I enjoy the freedom shore diving affords you. Does Grand Bahama lend itself to shore diving at all or are you pretty much bound to going out with a boat operator?
 
Is that a logistical thing? A legal thing? What is the limiting factor?
 
A distance thing! All sand for hundreds of yards until you get to patch type reefs! So it is not much fun without a boat!

Even if you go east to the Iron Shore it is very hard to get to the shore! The reefs in this area are closer to the shore in the areas where there is little to no beach! Still better to have a boat:wink:
