Recently a friend of mine won a "free" trip to the Gran Pacifica in Nicaragua. http://www.granpacifica.com/index.html The trip was a prize in a local dive shop outting but it feels kind of fishy to us. So far, other than the web site, we can find nothing about the place. The "free trip" has the feel of the old high pressure time share scheme to me. Has anyone had any experience or know anything at all about this operation or even if there are any organized dive operations on the west coast of Nicaragua. We are trying to determine if this is a really great trip, a waste of airfare or the trip from hell.
