Brett Phaneuf from Texas A&M recently surveyed a couple of them for a Discovery Channel documentary. It aired late last year I believe.

At the end of this page the officer talks of a bunch of submarines scuttled off of Goto Shima, Japan in 1945-6.

Does anyone have any information on them or a site that talks about them?

Have to love Discovery Channel...too bad I missed that one. Will have to wait until it reairs.

Thanks for the info. I found absolutely nothing on the web about them except for the reference in the article.
