Got my certification!!

Hi Everybody,

let me introduce myself. My name is Carlos and I've been fishing all my life. Last year I started spearfishing again and my friends convinced me to get my diving certification. I started the process last December but due to bad weather and schedule conflicts I was not able to finish it until this past weekend. I'm very exited and can't wait for a season full of fishing, spearfishing and scuba trips.

Felizidades Carlos! You opened up a new can of addiction. I too originally began as a freediver/spearfreak. But when I got my cert it was like a bad addiction. Before you know it you're gonna want to get advanced/specialty/master certs! Trust me it will happen. I'm moving back to SoCal from Humboldt soon so let us know when you are going out and I'll try my hardest to hit the water with you. Oh yeah what agency did you get your cert from?

Thanks. I got a NAUI certification and yes, I'm already looking at my advanced, night, etc. certifications. I'd love to go out diving with any divers who are willing to show me the ropes and have the patience for a newby like me. BTW, I have my own boat which is ocean worthy (Striper 21' WA).

Now find and join a local dive club, one that dives locally and regularly. Go out and dive and learn from the "old hands."

You're going to have a blast and meet some great people.
