My Brigade and envoy just arrived today. Can't wait to try them out in Grand Cayman in September. I didn't get the yellow pouches either but I think I'll just stick my 1-2 pounders in the rear trim weight pouches.

Edit: And let me just add that the reason why I chose Zeagle for my BC and regulator is not only because of the solid reviews I came across on Scubaboard but also because I've never seen a manufacturer as involved and responsive to their customers as Scott has been.

Ok maybe that's not entirely fair, Mares and Oceanic have been equally as wonderful as well so I would consider buying from them if I see something I like.

Just ordered my Brigade today ! I've had a Ranger for the past 8 years but want to see if the Brigade packs better in my dive bag for those trip via the airlines. Seems like most bags are going to be checked luggage now instead of carry-on's due to tsa rule changes.

Does anyone know how to register the warranty of the brigade on zeagle.com? It's not listed as one of the BCs you can register.

You do realize that the Brigade IS the Ranger, only with a smaller bladder, right? It would have been cheaper to just buy the escape bladder and swap them out. Then again if you have the money it would be nice not to have to do that, plus you have an entire backup BC. Just thought I'd mention this in case you didn't know about this. I'm sure if you didn't know ScubaToys would let you return it and just get the bladder, they are great to work with. One nice thing about living where I am, ScubaToys is only 10 minutes away :D.

Oh, I should mention I do own the Brigade and have travelled with it. I've never tried to pack anything else so I have no reference but it still isn't the smallest BC in the world. But I think it's worth the extra bulk for the high level of quality.

You register it as a Ranger.

Just got back from our first dive BC was great. In case your thinking about buying one they should not be bought without the yellow inserts for the front weight pouch. all the 1 and 2lb weights will fall right through. 4 and 5 fit fine. I think they should come with the BC personally.

BC is very well made and worked quite well. Took awhle to trim out but forum member Kidspot was most awesome in helping us out today and showing us around his favorite divespots here in MAui. Awesome guy, make sure you look him up if your ever in Maui.

Hope the review helps a bit. More diving tomorrow!

I don't recall ever losing 2# soft weights out of the pockets of my Brigade. This time of year I'm only using 4# and those are hard weights mounted to the cam bands. As I need more neoprene in the winter months, I guess I'll be using 2's in my pockets again. I'll probably use hard weights, though. Those don't fall through.

I hope to go to Hawaii soon. Some of my wife's family live on Maui and we have this cute baby that they've never met...

I was referring to the front pockets. The 1lb hard and soft weights slide right through.

Yeah, me too. I don't recall losing any 2# soft weights from the front pockets. I needed them in the early spring before I was able to shed most of the neoprene. I own some 1# soft weights but I don't remember ever using them in front pockets, or any of the other pockets for that matter.

hmm....interesting. You might have gotten lucky. ;) Better safe than sorry IMO. Just use the "Thingies" from Scubatoys.

I have a Brigade. I love my Brigade. I travel with my Brigade. I use the weight "thingies" with my Brigade. I pet my Brigade. I feed my Brigade.

If my Brigade was a woman, I'd marry my Brigade...
