I was at Front Beach in Rockport today. I wasn't actively searching them out, but I saw only three lobsters in 90 minutes and they all looked short.

At the same site earlier in the morning, two friends of mine did one 50-minute dive specifically for lobsters and they saw only 6 lobsters between them, all short.

Water temp was 48F near the surface, 43F at 41 feet.

Vis was 15 to 25' (25' measured with a line).

Flounder haven't come in much yet. I saw one short one and two around 13 inches. Those last two aren't there anymore, though.... :D

As long as they will be back within 2 weeks I don't mind ;o)
Looks like another good dive... 90min I can live with this any time !

So far I've eaten a few keepers. 1 from folly and 1 from cathedral rocks (lobster). Took two keeper flounder from 40 steps. Tons of shorts and just barely short lobster at lanes and cathedral. The season is slowly picking up, I've seen a lot more little lobster as the weeks pass, and 4 or 5 have managed to evade my grasp (looked big enough, but might not have been keepers, and I didn't want to rip a claw off)

took the boat to flag rock this morning..
22' temp 54
dive 40 minutes
1 big keeper (1" over legal and 1" under too big just in the middle of both sides of the gauge) did see a lot of smalls and a few big ladys with young on board..
great day to dive
