Greetings from the Waikiki Aquarium - I'm the new Associate Director. I'm looking for an easy to use, bullet proof light weight UW video system for our staff. Which of these models would you recommend and why? I'm thinking of adding 2 Ike LED video lights to the system but am unsure which camera and housing will be best. The plan is to use the footage on touch screens, for media releases and for YouTube.

I'm pretty happy with my Gopro with the eyeofmine wrist mount. It's very easy to operate, push the button and point and shoot. I think it takes pretty good video even without lights. The price is sure right.

Thanks!

I am very happy with my Flip HD in Ikelite housing. I have it on a dual handled tray and us a Darkbuster HID video light. It is very simple to use and takes great video.

I love the size of the GoPro HD and the price is right too! I used the bottom of the case it comes in and made a hand mount out of it. It works great and still leaves your hands free. Video of the GoPro HD has been great so far, you do have to keep the camera as still as you canbut it is not that big of a deal. We also just got our son the JVC wp10 with Ikelight Housing and it is big compared to the gopro and about $100 more and doesnt include a handle to hold it just a wrist strap. I have not had a chance to to dive with the JVC yet maybe New Years day then I can compare the video between the two. I would buy a GoPro HD again in a minute, if mine ever dies! You can check out a video i did from the GoPro HD here:
GoPro HD video from our local quarry.

The quality online is no where near what it is on a HD TV!

I forgot to tell you I do have the Eye of Mine housing and I also put the GoForFocus lens in the stock housing and I havent use the Eye of Mine housing since I put the other lense in the stock housing. I still have less in the GoPro HD with the extra housing and extra lens then what we paid for the JVC/Ikelite.
