I have had not the best of luck with my new dive gear . I was towing my boat on the highway after a multi all night dive when all my electronics blew out of my boat . I purchased a $300.00 hand held GPS and was faulty out of the box . I returned it and the manager verified it was not operational . I decided to upgrade for a map GPS for $600.00 . This unit gave me problems the second time out . I purchased a dive computer to replace the lost aladdin pro . Since the computer is a ***** Tec it should be able to plan a air deco dive . It must be to much of a liability to include this feature which may be understandable . I was prepping to go diving and programed the new computer to 39% for the next day . I was following the anchor line down and glanced at the new computer to check my depth . It was flashing and nonoperational . Since the dive was going to be square it was not aborted . What happen was at 12 O'Clock AM the computer deletes the current settings which is a safety feature . I learned this the hard way . One of the main features that is very important to me is to have a back light which will stay on . Two seconds is bull when ascending using a manual dump with one hand with a light and a bunch of other gear in the other hand at night .
