Hello! I just got certified two months ago. I'm about to spend 2 weeks in hawaii with a lot of diving and I would like to get a computer.

I did a lot of reading with Suunto stuff. I am not too familiar with other models but i am willing to do my research.

I am open to these models or similar (with or without transmitters):

D9
D6
Cobra 3
Vytec DS
Vyper Air

Anyone selling one of these or equivalent? I want something decent - that i can grow into although I know that some features end up as just gimmicks and cool factor.

let me know though!
Kevin

I have D9 w/o transmitter. Paid more but will do $700?

I have a Suunto Cobra II with quick disconnect. It is an air integrated (nitrox capable) computer. It has a built in compass, and comes with the software and pc connector and an extra battery which is user replaceable.

All together I paid $905.00 last June for this, but I'd let it go for $450.00 + shipping.

I've used it only last season and a little in the spring this year before switching to my wrist computer. Used ONLY in fresh water and still rinsed after every dive.

109 dives is what the computer logbook says, but most were training dives and the computer starts a new dive after a few minutes at the surface (I log my dives as one tank=one dive). You can consider about 30 dives on this computer in fresh water only.

Welcome to diving!!!
