Corrine, Davey , and I went to Storm today. Had heard here on the board some others were heading that way. We arrived at the lake at 9:45, and 2 divers were already finished with they're dives. There were 10 other divers there today, it was good to put some faces to the names here on the board. Air temp was 46, water is up to 54. But only one stack was going, don't know what that means, anyone know? Agood day of diving, and comraderie.

Hey , Yrth. Agree it was a good day, but was glad to have dry suit when OUT of the water for once. That 10-15 MPH wind was cutting through the wet suit divers! Good to met you - see'ya at millbrook some time in April I suspect.

Good to meet ya man! Yeah, it was cold...my computer registered 47 degrees at some cold spots...I hope they get some more stacks going soon!!! Oh, and like the intelligent men we are, John and I ended up doing three dives...it took a hour to thaw out...

Glad you all had a good time. I'll be up there with you soon I hope. Thanks for the report.

i dont know what you and John were thinhking Eric, but three dives in the wet suit on days like that are for the insane!! i know i am cold enough when i get out of the drysuit. any way it was nice meeting you and seeing john again. hope to dive with you again soon

Yeah, I am not known for my brains...or my looks....or money....really not sure how I ended up married...

We will have to do it again when the weather warms up. I plan on getting back there in April. We are planning a cookout sometime late spring early summer to.

The more "stacks" the power plant has running, the more water they pump to cool them which in turn warms up the water faster. One thing that confuses some people though is when we say "stack" it's not the great big smoke stack. There are actually smaller exhausts on top the building below those that you need to look at to tell how many they have running.
