Woman found dead in Lake Orlando Golf Club pond - Orlando Sentinel

A woman who was missing at work for hours was found dead in a pond late Tuesday at Lake Orlando Golf Club, police said.
The woman's employer reported her missing about 5:50 p.m., about five hours after she was last seen, police spokesman Sgt. Jim Young said.
An Orlando Fire Department dive team pulled her body from a pond, police said. Officers were working the case as a drowning.

Police did not release the woman's name or clarify whether she worked for the golf club, but WOFL-Channel 35 reported that her job was to dive for golf balls.

Investigators say they do not suspect foul play.

The golf club, on the shores of Lake Orlando was scheduled to close Tuesday after 13 years because it has been sold, according to its website. There is no date scheduled for it to reopen.
