Has anyone had experience with the Golem doubles wing? I have a Golem single and I like it very much. I borrowed a Golem doubles wing and set of doubles and used it for a couple of dives and I liked it (and the doubles) a lot. My only concern is that it is the only doubles wing I have used and it "looks" to be awfully wide. How is it as far as profile, drag, etc....? I will be getting a doubles set-up in a few months and it can be difficult to find equipment to borrow so any input will be appreciated.

Did you use the 45 or 55# version? If you were using a 55, then you could go down to the 45# wing which would be a bit smaller. I have not used either myself, just an observation. Halcyon makes a 40# doubles wing which looks very similar to the Golem which I am quite happy with sizewise.

Aloha, Tim

I use and sell the European brand DIR Zone, alias DTD, which is also Golem. -And it's the 45 I use these days. It's THE most rugged wing in the market. It's slim and slick in the water, it fills and dumps air at just the right speed easily.

I am biased, of course! But since I can also sell Halcyon and have some other brands to choose from I just choose the one I think is the best. It's the same 45 you're looking at! :)
