Going to Thailand...Girlfriend NOT a diver...so...

Hello everyone,

As I mentioned in the title. I will be heading to Thailand, probably Phuket, in February with my girlfriend. Who is NOT a diver (I know...working on it). I have made a deal with her that I will only dive 2 of the 7 days we are there, so long as she comes snorkeling with me a couple of times.

Can anyone recommend a nice resort that will give me the diving, her the beach and cool drinks, and both of us the snorkeling, to make our vacation a two way WIN?

Why did you chosen Phuket as your target?

AlfredT, I don't know of any resorts, but we spent our time in TonSai, because there was good climbing there, a fun beach without resort pricing, and a fairly young crowd. Any of the dive ops I found in the area did both snorkeling and diving from the same boat, so you could maybe do a day with one tank and then snorkel with your girlfriend for the second dive site.

V&G - Well we haven't actually.

I think we are going to end up either going to Koh Toa or Koh Chang. Have been doing a lot of research and either of these are going to be good. Great diving and snorkelling. There is also geat jungles on Koh Chang to trek through.
