Hey goin to Islamorada in a week. Got any recommendations on things to do? Like maybe some good dive spots or places to eat.

Lor e lei's. Very nice cocktails. Enjoy a sunset and for a $1 more a little extra "love" in your drink.

The history of diving museum is excellent. Largest collection of Mk5 helmets in the world if I am not mistaken. Morada bay is good for food, Braza Lena is good but expensive.

Drive up to Key Largo for diving, Islamorada is more about sport fishing.

You cannot beat the muddled margaritas at wahoos(or the view)

Go to www. Rainbow Reef.us and check out their web site......has a list ofa ll the dive sites with info on them and also lots of info on non-diving activities available in the area......they also just happen to be great folks to dive with and have two dive boats there.

I dove with Key Dives last spring. They have a NICE boat with plenty of room and very friendly staff. Have Fun!

My wife and I also dove with Key Dives last August. The condo we were in was 2 doors down from their shop - staff was great and made us feel very comfortable. Keep in mind that this was our first trip to the Keys and also my wife's first ocean dive (had only been certified in June), so their guided diving was perfect for us and they continually helped us to improve our diving techniques throughout the week we were there.

I would also have to agree with the above posters about going to Wahoos for dinner/drinks one night - sit outside on the second floor, great view and the food was pretty good - Morada Bay (next to the large Salt Water Bass Pro) beach dinner was awesome and the sunset was absolutely gorgeous. There was also one other restaurant we went to up north a bit down under a bridge on the ocean side just off the channel on a canal - we really liked the food there, especially the fresh lobster, but I cannot seem to remember the name right now. And don't forget Lazy Days - right next door to the Key Dives shop - great food and drinks - we spent several evenings there having cocktails.

When we go to Key Largo we use It'S A DIVE. There a great crew. They has some great places to take you to. There is one site where you feed the nurse sharks and huge grouper will come right up to you and stair you in the face . Any way if you go to Key West go to Mel Fisher's museum Make plans to at least have 3 hours to go through it. Oh ya ya gotta go to jimmy buffetts margeritaville. Any way I love Florida. It's a Dive is great dive master's.
