Going to HK in August. Where to dive? Maybe Okinawa?

Hi
Im coming to Hong Kong at the end of August for work. Where can I find good diving for the weekend or 3 days?
Okinawa seems close. Where else? What's the best in the area to see. I am open to taking a short flight if necessary.

I do not speak Chinese or Japanese or anything else really so I would have to be able to get around with English

1. Locally on weekend.
2. Philippines:
a. Fly to Manila for Anilao, Puerto Galera and Subic Bay.
b. Fly to Cebu for Bohol, Dumaguete, Mactan island, Malapascua, Moalboal etc.

Aug is typhoon season in HK, Philippines and Okinawa!!!!! It will be low season so no need to book anything in advance. When the weather forecast is promising then off you go.

You can leave Fridsy night and be diving the wrecks of Subic Bay 8am the next dsy USS New York is excellent.
