Hello Everyone, We are new to diving, got our OW cert in St Marteen last month and Loved it ! We are going to Cozumel in Aug 22-29. We have our air already and are pretty sure we are going to stay at Fiesta Americana and use the in house dive shop for thier dive package. Can anyone recommand any local places to eat or local bars to hang out ? We are getting a rental car. Any recommandations (for anything) would be greatly appreciatated. Ferry to Cancun or Playa ??
Thanks.

Hi guys,

The first place I would go to is Can-Do Travel Guides and order the Cozumel map. It is a fantastic guide to the island and they just released a new edition. They have a most of the restaurants where tourists and locals eat with good reviews of what to expect. Also there is an extensive listing of all the beach clubs on the island. I promise you that it will be the best money you spend on your vacation.

There is no ferry to Cancun. The passenger ferry drops you off in PDC and the car ferry at Calica (south of PDC).

My "recommendation" is that you ask the Moderator to move this thread to the Cozumel forum, and then spend some time reading and doing searches in the Coz forum. There are numerous posts and threads over there which should be helpful to you.
