Will be there mid September. Staying at the Divi Flamingo.
Enjoy Bonaire! Switch to island time(relax, no rush), visit the web cams at Eden Beach including the reef cam, do at least one boat trip to Klein, go to Gibis for dinner at least once and the Rib Factory in town, say hello to Micheal at Chat-n-Browse and get a Cuban cigar, eat ice cream any time of day cause you deserve it, dive like a maniac, visit as many different shore dive sites as you can but make sure you include Karpata, Ole Blue, Hilma Hooker, 1000 Steps.
Always lock your room door, and if you have a rental vehicle, leave it unlocked with the windows down and NO valuables inside! I think I covered the basics. First time on Bonaire? You are in for a treat!

And watch out for those pesky donkeys!

Hehaw hee haw

Jet has about summed it up. Do a search here, I have posted a lot over the years. Also, drop by the Bonaire board and so a search there. Tons of good info there as well. www.bonairetalk.com

You HAVE TO contact a local dive shop and try to schedule a night dive at the town pier. It has some of the best marine growth I've ever seen, including 10' plus tube sponges, lots of tarpin that hunt using your lights, seahorses. We did the dive with conventional lights for the first 1/2, and fluorescent lights for the second 1/2. My brother in law is a marine scientist/engineer, he invented and distributes the light systems. Check out his website for some images of what it looks like (click "Fluorescent Images"):

Definetly watch out for the donkeys, psycho donkey was almost run over by my scooter. Definetly do karpata and rappel. Best SItes! Coral is so beautiful down there. Cant wait to go back. HAVE FUN and RELAX

Make sure you do a night dive at Oil Slick Leap...
Last year I actually had Octopi crawling over my hand and feeling between my fingers looking for snacks.
