Like most people are saying....
Last year I dove in Cabo Pulmo, Mexico. They do not run power lines to that town. A bat landed on me one night in the bungalo, which was the nicest place in town. I brought a good 15 lbs of spare parts in a medium size pelican case.
Last week I dove in Key Largo. My spares fit in a small fanny pack. Basically save a dive stuff. If an LP hose goes down on a 2 tank boat dive I guess I'll not dive for that day, and bringing stuff like that assumes that the time you take to fix it on the boat is not an issue, and it likely is.

I'm with everybody else . . . I carry spare o-rings, a tool for removing them, a basic scuba tool type wrench set, some spare bolt snaps and cave line and zipties. I also use a Mosquito as a watch, so that gives me a spare gauge. Getting to places like Indonesia with much redundant gear is a non-starter, so in the places where you'd most like to have the extras, you really can't practically take them.

I ask becaus I am getting set to go on vacation to West Palm Beach for some diving.
When headed to WPB/Ft. Lauderdale I just carry a very basic spares kit that fits inside an old peanut butter jar.

S. Florida is blessed with excellent availability of dive gear, so there isn't any need to bring anthing other than the simplest save-a-dive kit. I typically return from my trips to Florida with significantly more dive gear than I started with. :)

Spare first and second stage, one high pressure and one low pressue hose, mask and fin staps and an o-ring kit.

For WPB?
One fin strap
One mask strap
Selection of yoke valve and DIN valve O-rings
One adjustable wrench (small) for hose change out
One allen wrench
A spare mask, very important if you have a perscription mask
A spare reg set.

Make sure your regs are serviced. Your spare 1st stage, 2nd stage, HP hose, SPG, reg hose, and inflator hose are all on your regs. Swap them around as needed.

If you need to take the dive shop with you, don't take it on the aircraft. If you can ship to where you are going by FedEx Ground, UPS, DHL, etc., do so. It is cheeper, you can watch it get there on the computer, etc. Pluss, if it did get lost, you have insurance through the shipper and don't have to fight with the airline on depreciated value for domestic or max liability if international.
