Hello dear diving community:

This is my first post in this forum. I live in San José, Costa Rica. Later today, I'll be driving to our north Pacific Coast. Tomorrow, I'll board a boat that will take us to Bat Islands (Islas Murciélagos), famous for encounters with big bull sharks. Even though I'm very familiar with white tip sharks, which are very common in our Pacific, the idea of diving with big bulls makes me nervous. The tour is already paid for, so...Will let you know how it went.

Cheers,

Fernando

Fernando,
Welcome to ScubaBoard, and good luck with the Bulls, Hopefully one day I'll get to dive with sharks too. Not to many in the Great Lakes. :D

Hola Fernando, Welcome from a Fellow Tica from San Jose also, living in Florida.

How exciting - diving with bull sharks! I would definitely be nervous myself. Good luck and let us know how it went. Can't wait to hear about it!

Good Luck,
Tyme

Hello. You have nothing to worry about. Bull sharks are not interested in eating you. They may swim in for a closer look but thats it. Only worry if you are spearfishing. Have a great dive, bull sharks are incredible animals to dive with.

Yep, you're crazy. :silly: You'll fit in well here. PM me if I can help you find your way around here....

:cowboy: don

Hola Fernando y bienvenidos a ScubaBoard. And I'd be a lot nervous diving with Bulls.
Be safe.
David

Hola Fernando, Let us know when you are back. I think I would be able to run across the surface of the water like one of those Jesus Christ Lizards if I saw bull sharks. Be careful!
