Simple question. Hopefully a simple answer.

I have a gotee and am looking for something I can put on it to help seal my mask. I've been told that Vaseline is a bad idea because it will break down the silicone in the mask skirt.

Anybody have idea for a substitute?

Thanks

Snot . . .

. . . just kidding, always wanted to answer that question that way.

I have heard of moustache waxes that work relatively well.

Please forgive my adolescent frivolity . . .

I have a goatee and have never had a problem with my mask leaking.

Is this something you have experienced or are afraid you might experience?

If the latter...try it first.

If the former...hmmm

I second that Motion!!

I "third" that approach!

I refuse to shave between dive trips! When my wife (or my mother in law) wants me clean shaven, they must first set up a dive trip for me. My mask leaks like a sieve under the moustache area. I both shave as well as use silicone gel.

I find if I cut the Moustache bit to short it leaks, but just that little bit longer, but not untidy, I don't have any issues
