The film running slow will be due to your pc not being fast enough to play it back smoothly, the video itself will be fine. You can view the video on your tv with the TV out cables and you will see that there is no problem with the video itself but the playback from your computer. Class 4 is fast enough for video on both the Gopro HD hero and Hero 2, class 10 is needed for the hero 2 if you want to shoot 10 11mpx photos in 1 second but all video modes are fine with a class 4 SD card.

Going by what you said that you couldn't view the video until you used gopro cineform studio, you probably don't have a media player capable of playing back gopro files, if that's the case you should download a media player like VLC player. with this you should be able to play your raw gopro files without having to use the cineform studio. If you convert the gopro files to cineform AVI files then they get much bigger and will make your computer struggle even more with the playback so just try playing back the files unconverted.

The flat port is really needed to get the gopro to focus underwater due to it being a fixed focus camera and the round outer lens causes it to lose focus underwater. I use the blurfix fix as this allows you to shoot in 720P vignette free while the drop in lenses vignette in all modes except r5 1080P, it also makes it very easy to use underwater filters for much better colour underwater.

Here is a video I made comparing the stock gopro against the Occulus r5 (drop in lens same as mako) eyeofmine and blurfix in all modes.

For anti fogging with the gopro camera go to this link at GoPro user forum which explains a few way to avoid this.

Here is a couple of videos I made using the Gopro and blurfix which shows the sort of colours you can get in good light with URpro filters

Here is an older one Head mounted with no filter using the Eyeofmine housing, this was my first gopro underwater video. This is in very similar water conditions to the Thailand scuba videos but notice the colours are very blue in comparison without using the filter.
