Rock on, Marlins. Congrats.

It's going to be crazy down here tomorrow morning when they arrive back in Miami.

Well done!!! :)

(Memo to Andy Pettitte: PLEASE come to the Rangers! We need help on the mound...)

Go Marlins.

Now maybe the local papers will shut up about baseball already and start covering some hockey. The Islanders are in first place in their division, but you'd hardly know about it.

Speaking of Florida, how about the 6 and 0, undefeated Tampa Bay Lightning

Bet they're not getting any ink either.

Time for another heartbreaking year as an LA Kings fan. I can't say when, I can't say how, but I can say with great confidence: it will happen.

Now that I have to agree with! Having been born and raised in Minnesota I grew up on Hockey. To bad the Florida Panthers can't seem to do much. On the other hand that makes for some cheap tickets to their games.

LOL- That's how it was with the Islanders when they were really hurting in the late 90's. We'd buy third tier tix for almost nothing and walk right down to the front row.

The ushers were so happy someone actually showed up they never bothered us about moving :D

It's nice that Minnesota finally got another team. A great hockey state like that needs one.

LA Kings..........Hey, my condolences :alright:

I was looking through my Sporting News Baseball Preview magazine Saturday night after Game 6, and I found something really interesting -- their preseason prediction on the National League East race:

1. Philadelphia
2. New York
3. Atlanta
4. Montreal
5. FLORIDA

Now that the season is over and the Florida Marlins have joined the Anaheim Angels as back-to-back Wild Card World Series winners, who do you think will be the team to look out for next year? HINT: it might just be now or never for the Seattle Mariners.

THey managed to come to Atlanta and kick the Thrashers' butts! ;-( The cheap tix thing is nice. THe players looked like ants from the 4th level, but hey, $29 for two tix and a concert afterwards ain't bad! For some reason, they didn't take money on the way in or out for our $12 parking area! woohoo! cheap hockey night! :D ) My second, and probably last, NHL game for the decade. I won't travel to an NHL city for a game, and my wife has agreed to start looking here in Richmond now that I am a permanent employee and we still have plenty of business.
