I am a new diver diving in the frigid waters of Monterey, Ca. I need to know what mm I should get for gloves, boots and hood. I currently have a pair of 3mm sealed split toe boots from when I was a surfer and I was thinking I could get a pair of dive socks to boost the 3mm to 6mm. Will that be enough? I have a 7mm one piece and that is fine for my body, but do I need to get the same for my extremities?
If this helps, I am 6'3 and about 250lbs (I already have a little insulation!).
Thanks for the help!

Also, I need these items and fins, so if anyone has extras please pm me.

I use 5mm which is pretty generic. I can use them in warm or cold waters (lowest I've taken them is about 40 degrees).
