We went out with Capt. Fran on Daybreaker yesterday afternoon (7/4). We didn't come near to the limit, but brought home a half dozen for a nice dinner :)

I have finally learned that you really do have to just charge in to that hole.... Saw a few lobzillas but they had holes you were never going to get to, and no back door to tickle them out. One looked like he couldn't ever come out again.

Hubby caught one 1/8" under the top limit...then found a small v notch on the boat. Oh well. Go make more lobsters....

By the way, Fran runs a great operation. Takes great care of you. He was even pouring warm water in our suits before the second dive.

The seas were calm. The vis was great. We came home in one piece and with dinner. Great day.:14:

Where did you go? I use his boat all the time.

I agree on comments about Fran. Wanted to get out this weekend with him but his boat was full. He goes the extra mile on everything. He and his crew even help carrying gear up from dock! Also, he does a fabulous job shucking scallops. I recently did a scallop charter out of Salem and the crew did a real hack job on my scallops. They ended up being wafer thin. I would have done myself but didn't have time between surface intervals. He doesn't cop an attitude like some other captains on other charters.

I did a couple of dives with Cap. Fran a few years ago and had the best time. I give him my higest recomendation. A great man of the sea.

Maybe if we can swing it we can take out frans charter as a group.

Would certainy be interested in getting out with him again...
