There's some interesting history with that whale bone. Apparently someone tried to remove it but broke it into two pieces. Micheal Angelo Gagliardi wound up removing it and glued it back together before re-installing it with the help of Rich Courtney, Peter McCumber, Dave Sheard and others.


The restoration he did on the clay bank at Cow was amazing too, Michael Angelo was a cool guy. He showed me a super cool fossil that is in plain sight at the gallery, but suspected few people ever see it, because it’s in the gallery, we just rush through it to get somewhere else, despite being one of the coolest passages in the entire system.

I didn’t know the name, but sounds right based on the name, right in “middle” of the wall?
