Myself and Ed (Water Dog 48439) will be heading down to Gilboa on Saturday 8/27.
We will be getting there about 9:30 - 10:00 am.

All are welcome who wish to show up and jump into the Piranha Trout Feeding Pool, uhhh... I mean quarry, with us.

We will just be diving the shallow side this trip as it will be Ed's first trip to Gilboa.

Planning on parking next to the stairs at the back end of the campground platform.

Let's Dive!

Dave,
I will probably come out that way seeing it is before my trip.

The more the merrier. :)

Looking forward to a great trip.

Dave, we just can not seem to get our schedules in sync. I have to fly to Florida Fri the 26th and attend a buddy of mines wedding then fly home Sunday. So that means no diving at Gilboa on the 27th for me but unfortunatly hehehehe I was able to book a two tank dive for Saturday morning in the clear blue WARM waters of the atlantic though. I doubt I will be able to hook up with are good friend Tom while down there but I will still try my best to enjoy my dives. did I mention WARM CLEAR waters off the east coast of Florida hehehehe. you guys do a dive for me and I will try to hook up with you next time.

Hi Ted,

Why dontcha just rub it in huh!!

Well, I expect the water to be clear at Gilboa, at least down by the Pipes.
Although temperature-wise it may be about 1/2 of what you will experience in Florida.

Are you coming to either DMP's going away dives on Sept 10th or the Meet-n-Greet on Sept 23-25th?

Have a good down south.

Good Luck with that dive pal! We have a tropical depression on the way, they are doubling up the lines on every boat up and down the coast, and are expecting 8-10ft seas. Make sure you call the dive company the night before to see if they are going!

We are going to start "battening down the hatches" on Thursday after work. Worst of it is supposed to be past Okeechobee by Sunday morning. Currently calling for winds around 40 knots on Friday and Saturday and 3-4" of rain.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I don't make the weather, I just report what is being said on the TV and radio. Check this link for latest news http://www.crownweather.com/tropical.html

Are good friend Tom shows up once in a great while and here he comes with nothing but good news. I guess this is your way of saying thanks for not coming to see me while I was down there. I thought about contacting you but wasnt sure if you could slip away for a Saturday morning boat dive since you are the only one running the shop down there. Plus it is a quick trip flying in late Friday and flying out early Sunday. I dont know if I will be able to contact them when I arrive Friday or not might try before I leave here Friday if were not going I will leave dive bag at home.

One last post before we go.

Ed and I are planning on getting started a little earlier so we might be at Gilboa by 9am.

Looking forward to getting in a couple before the possible T-storms get there in the PM.
