Gift Shop Star Fish???

Even excluding giftshops I have a few questions:

1. Are all of the sea horses, shark teeth, and star fish real?
2. Are all of these animals killed for this reason?
3. Are the shark teeth found or taken from sharks killed for this purpose?

1. Are all of the sea horses, shark teeth, and star fish real? To the best of my knowlege.
2. Are all of these animals killed for this reason? Depends. If memory serves me, some are by catch, some are farm grown.
3. Are the shark teeth found or taken from sharks killed for this purpose? Sharks teeth, if white, are modern and probably caught somewhere, if black or brown or otherwise, they're most likely fossil and the critterdied a long time ago.
4. Are the marine ecosystems effected by this? Depends on the region of the earth I suppose. Conch's, for instance, are now farmed as opposed to harvested from the wild, for conch fritters and stew.

everytime you remove something from the ocean you effect the ecosystem..
and if you dont want to have a negative effect then dont buy that stuff
