Just wondering what height above water people think is ok to do a giant stride entry from.
What are the main issues that arise as you get higher? Does the force of water on your fins cause problems for your ankles or could you damage or lose your fins?

Thanks
Bluey

great question.

I was told in regards to heli diving if your altitude matches your speed thats better.

I think you want your first stage low enough that you don't get a basilar skull fracture....

somebody feel free to correct me.

Having said that...SP jetfins were hurting my ankles on higher giant strides and he quatros are a little more flexible and feel better.

How high is too High?

when you break something on the way in...:shakehead

That should tell you something!

Seriously good question I would venture to say the highest I have ever jumped from is maybe 10ft and It was interesting to say the least. I wouldn't want to jump from a higher level with the tank, might crack something important...like me.:D

biggest giant stride ive done is called "the leap" and about 10ft and once you take that step there is no turning back so if you loose a fin or break your leg you gotta get going with the tide

I learned on the higher ones like 10 feet , its easier to put your fins on in the water.

For men excess height and a crotch strap will at some point lead to joining the sopranno section of the choir?
:rofl3:

As implied, the higher the jump, the tighter the knees need to be!
