Getting your DM in Palau....or somewhere else??

This summer I have a couple months off that I've decided to use in order to get my DM. I figure that this is the cheapest way to do a bunch of diving in one of the best dive spots in the world, and become a better diver at the same time.

I've been to Galapagos (it's very tempting to go back there!), Bay Islands, Sipadan, Sangalaki, Thailand,....

I'm looking for any comments concerning:

1) Any strong views on a good place besides Palau to get a DM? I'm really open to any ideas!

2) If you agree with Palau, then what's a good dive shop to work at? It seems that NECO and Sam's are the two choices.

3) Is there any way to get on a liveaboard while I'm doing the course?
