From Phoenix AZ...HEY!

My new girlfriend wants to get into SCUBA. Here's the deal, I havent been wet for 10 years.

I guess I should go back to school with her side by side. She's 10 years younger than me. I was NAUI certed in 1976 at 16, then Advanced Open with PADI in 80 in Gennie Springs caves in FL. I only have 50 logs in all that time.

What's the best steps to take now. I sold my 80 short tank and OA BC, belts, AL reg woth octy...

Should I hit my local dive shop and by the personals for us and hold off on major hardware?
 
Welcome to the 'board.... and back into diving!!!!!

Alot has changed in the last 10 years... see if the dive op will let you take a refreasher class and
tag-a-long for the rest of her OW cert. I say take it slow on your major purchases ... check the forums for options. And feel free to drop on down to your local forum to see what's happening:

I'd check this Classified board :) I needed some upgraded gear since mine was a bit dated and found everything I needed here. I didn't want to go and buy all brand new stuff $$$.
This board is the greatest.
