I thought they weren't that aggressive;my buddy said he never saw anybody move so fast in using the camera as a parrying weapon. .

I have had bandeds come shooting up off the sea floor at me for no reason...one time I was more than 3m away from the dumb thing. I try to use my fin tips as I don't want them anywhere near me! They also give chase for ages & over great distances...it makes one slightly paranoid for the rest of the dive :11: I might try a shot of one very far off, but I will not hang out with them like I do the olives :wink:
 
Excellent shots. In most cases sea snakes are very curious animals and they don't really bit unless threatened. But the banded one are aggressive. They come REAL close to check divers out. You do have a brass pair.
