getting to west bay from the roatan airport

Just got back from Utila...I posted the trip reportunder the Bay Islands forum yesterday. but for this purpose re Captain Vern....It was a nice sail over.....We met him at West End......not West Bay. The sail was 3.1/2hours. On the way back the following Saturday there was a Norther and the Ocean got very angry. Vern set out for Roatan and when the winds started approaching 30knots...he rightly turned around and headed back to Utila. We were about an 3/4 hours out and hadent made much headway...I appreciated his attention to reason....We did get a charter plane out later...twice the cost but we at least made our connection in Roatan...Thanks to Shirley of Deep Blue who got us a charter when no others to our knowledge were coming in or out of Utila. I would however charter Capt Vern again

Hi again,

We did follow Siouxs advice and got Enricque to pick us up at the Roatan airport...He was Johnny on the spot and got us to west end in about 20 minutes...nice fellow and reliable for about 25 dollars....thanks again for the good advice.
