Well I have finally found out all the information I need on buses and the ferry and now I need to know about taking the bus.
Trying to decide between flying from San Pedro to Roatan or going the cheaper route with the bus and ferry. There are four of us so I am trying to be economical. If anyone has any input about the bus please let me know. Also if you have a favorite place to stay in La Ceiba I also would love to hear about that to. Is it worth going over there?
Thanks,
Lynn B

We took the bus from San Pedro Sula to La Ceiba and the ferry to Roatan last year. But when we considered that we had to spend an extra night on the mainland, we decided to fly this year.

Hedman Alas buses are clean, air conditioned, and run on time. The same can be said for the ferry from La Ceiba to Roatan. Take something for sea-sickness. We crossed on a very calm day and half the passangers on the ferry were sick.

I must have been in the other half.

I have always taken direct flights to Roatan. It really cuts down on travel time and the risk of your luggage (dive gear) getting delayed.

Did you not think it was a rough crossing? Sure hope not as I have one that tends to get sea sick.....
